The update introduces a clearly marked button in the AI Mode search bar. The intuitive feature lets users take pictures instantly or upload saved images from their devices. The advanced Gemini model demonstrates exceptional visual interpretation abilities because Google Lens’ sophisticated object recognition technology greatly enhances this function. Google describes Lens as an essential tool that precisely recognizes distinct objects in uploaded images. The system successfully relays detailed contextual information to AI Mode, which activates multiple related sub-queries through a strategic process known as the “fan-out technique.”

Google demonstrates how users can use this new feature through a powerful illustration. Think about a user who shows AI Mode a set of book covers and asks for titles that resemble those books. Google Lens executes precise analysis to detect every single book title shown in the images.
