Justin Bieber Hints at Deeper Struggles With DMX Video Post
Justin Bieber’s name is trending again for sharing an interesting video on Instagram. On Sunday, the pop superstar reposted a clip of a spiritual convo between rapper DMX and motivational speaker Iyanla Vanzant, one of the most powerful and talk-worthy quotes about his opinion on drugs.
Posting on his Instagram, 31-year-old Bieber reshared a 2013 episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life, which features the rapper talking about living sober with the author and motivational speaker. In the post, 50-year-old Iyanla questions DMX if he truly wants to live a life free of drugs.
The iconic rapper says, “No weed, no drinking, nothing? Why would I?” When she tells him sobriety makes a person “a clear, pure vessel for the voice of God,” DMX responds, “I think I’m exactly where I need to be with God.”
Justin Bieber did not offer any words or an explanation with the post. The “Baby” singer shared the video from the Instagram account of a Los Angeles-based weed shop called Gassy. And, despite not sharing any accompanying thoughts, fans and media outlets began to question if the singer had a message for the DMX clip.
Fans interpreted the post to show his stance on weed, while others questioned him for challenging the older generation and religion by saying no to sobering up. Bieber isn’t new to these conversations, especially when it comes to him and his faith. He’s shared plenty of details in the past about his relationship with God and has even opened up about his time in Churchome with pastor Judah Smith.
Justin Bieber’s Post Comes After Slightly Different Stance On Recreational Weed
Justin Bieber has taken some heat from fans in the past when he shared photos of bongs and smoke on his Instagram page. However, recreational weed is completely legal in California, where the “Ghost” singer is currently living with his wife, Hailey Bieber, and their infant son, Jack Blues Bieber.
A representative for the singer also shut down claims earlier this year that the pop star was abusing hard drugs. The statement to TMZ in February noted, “The recurring narrative that Justin is using hard drugs is not true.” The representative continued, “Justin is in one of the best places in his life. He is happy and looking forward to the future with Hailey, raising his son, and making music.”
They also shared that the singer made some big changes to his life over the last year. That included leaving long-time friends and business partners in his life and refocusing himself. It seems that the singer did just that, as fans are loving the music that he’s released in the last year as well.
Justin Bieber surprised fans with the release of his seventh studio album, Swag, on July 11. The record features some self-reflection about his personal growth, love for Hailey, and the responsibilities he has as a new father. Fans also got a comedic look at the singer with “therapy sessions” on the record with social media star Druski.
In a bold but more candid move, Justin Bieber lets the public get a rare glimpse of himself in between the album tracks. It’s a brave new era for the singer, who fans suspect will not back down from being vulnerable or getting himself in hot water, with this album being a personal peek into his life.
The singer has not officially announced plans to support Swag with a world tour, although a possible Australian trip has been brought up by fans and media outlets. When Rolling Stone reached out to Frontier Touring, a rep for the company confirmed, “At this stage, we have no information we can share about any tour dates.”
If he does choose to tour the album worldwide, it would be a welcome surprise for fans. The star’s last tour, Justice World Tour, was stopped abruptly midway through the dates in 2022, when the singer canceled due to his health.
Fans remain hopeful as the singer seems to be in a great place with a new album, a new baby, and a better handle on who he wants to be. Justin Bieber has been candid in the past that he is working on being a better person, and, while it may take some time, a possible tour with his headspace in a better place than ever could be a major success.
Justin Bieber Blunts & Crack Addiction Update: New Instagram Post Sparks Drug Rumors
As far as singing goes, Justin Bieber seems to be hitting the right chords. He surprised fans with the July 11 drop of his seventh album, Swag, a record that met with critical acclaim. Bieber has always managed to maintain that air of mystery to his releases. The private nature of the record features some intimate details of his life over the past few years, from his time as a husband to Hailey to fatherhood.
The funniest part of the project comes in the form of comedy interludes with Druski, a popular YouTuber and social media influencer who fans say is changing the game of comedy. On the record, Druski leads the pop singer on more talk-worthy quotes in a self-proclaimed “therapy session.”
In one of the first therapy sessions on the record, Druski gets the singer to crack up as he confesses his stinky bedroom situation and lack of laundry skills. In another scene, Bieber gets turned down in his quest to buy the 2020 BMW car that the influencer is driving in the background.
Fans are suspecting this as the new era for Bieber. A personal peek into the star’s life between the tracks with a raw comedy that will not be ignored. The singer has yet to comment on the meaning behind the DMX Instagram post, but seems to be saying less and less with each interview.
Fans are excited about the music he’s putting out and are even more excited if Justin Bieber announces a new tour. We may find out if he is really exactly where he needs to be with God soon.
